Laser Hair Removal

Laser energy is absorbed by the pigment in the hair and targets the hair follicle. Hair in the active growth phase is treated, which is why a course of treatments is required for a lasting result.

Everyone experiences the treatment differently, but it is designed to be as comfortable as possible. ATON Hyperion features a cooling system, and the settings are individually adjusted to your skin, hair and treatment area.

We usually plan for around 10-12 treatments, although the exact number is always individual. It depends on the treatment area, hair colour and structure, hair density and how the hair responds to the laser. In some cases, noticeable results can be achieved much sooner. The interval between treatments depends on the area and the hair growth cycle. After the first session, the next appointment is usually scheduled around 4-5 weeks later. For some areas, the interval may be longer.

The treatment area should be shaved 1-2 days before your appointment. Between laser sessions, you can use a razor, but you should not remove the hair from the root with waxing, sugaring or an epilator. Before your appointment, we will also send you all the preparation instructions.

Special or complicated aftercare is usually not required. After the treatment, we will give you recommendations based on the treated area and how your skin responds.

Laser treatment can be used on almost all common areas of the face and body. We determine the suitable areas and treatment settings individually before starting your course.

Yes. You can shave the hair between treatments whenever needed. Waxing, sugaring and epilators should not be used because they remove the hair from the root, which needs to remain for the next laser treatment.

The first changes can be noticeable after the very first treatment. Over the following 1-3 weeks, some of the treated hairs gradually fall out. With each additional session, the hair becomes sparser, finer and grows back more slowly.

Partly true. The laser targets the hair follicles, not the sweat glands, so the treatment itself does not reduce sweat production. However, without hair, less moisture, odour and deodorant residue remain on the skin, which can create a fresher and more comfortable feeling. Another pleasant benefit is smooth skin without constant shaving and the irritation that can come with it.

Laser hair removal is not performed during pregnancy, on recently tanned skin, or on areas with injuries or active skin inflammation. Treatment is also not performed directly over tattoos.
